The right way to seek God is out of the fullness of your life. The fullness of life means to enter life without cowardice, to open yourself to everything life may bring: hardship and joy, unhappiness and happiness, periods of darkness and periods of light, disappointments in other human beings and the ability to trust again and again, and the possession of an understanding heart. Most of all, never be afraid of your own feelings and of life such as it is. That is the fullness of life.

Thus, out of group unification and group consciousness a much more clearly defined individual will evolve. And these clearly defined individuals will contribute to a greater unity in the group process.

Dear Friends of Philadelphia Pathwork,

We hope that you enjoyed an "expansive" and wonderful summer. "Expansion" seems to be the touchstone for our region this season. Our Teacher Trainees, who have been studying and preparing for the past year, are now bringing Pathwork to a larger community through the expansion of the First Friday program.

We welcome and thank our new Teacher Trainees, Rich Carlson, Pam Jones, Mary Elliott, David Schwerin, Donna Neilson, Valerie Bennett, Deb Mazza, EJ Carreiro, and Sue van Doeren, who are joining Helpers Carol Day, Gayle Lacks, Pnina Polishnook, and Renee Whatley in offering First Friday programs in our region this year. In addition, the Board is pleased to have four new members, expanding its size from six to eight.

Let’s give thanks for these expanded programs:

  • The gift of free First Fridays – through the generosity of our Helpers and current Teacher Trainees, we are able to offer lecture study to the community and to attract new students to Pathwork. Following the theme, "Know Thyself," First Friday is now offered at 12 different locations!
  • The continued bonus of First Friday follow-up workshops – in a series of one-day workshops, offered for only $50, participants build on the teachings of the First Friday program. A beautiful gift from and to our region.
  • The growing TP program – in a new TP1 class, taught this year by Pnina Polishnook, students are invited "to create doorways into a new understanding of reality and themselves."
  • The continuing Teacher Training program – intensive training is offered to Pathwork graduate students who want to go deeper and possibly to teach.

We are deeply grateful for the continuing gift of your support and for all it allows us to do. In addition to Fund Raisers, Helper Contributions, and other revenues, you contributed 35+% to last year’s budget. Please join us by becoming a member or by renewing your membership in the Philadelphia Pathwork Region for the 2009-2010 year. We are especially thankful for the ways in which your financial support will allow us to expand the work and continue the vision of Philadelphia Pathwork.

Our objectives are:

  1. Education: To foster and encourage spiritual growth and understanding of the Pathwork teachings, principles and practices locally and worldwide. We offer classes, workshops, lectures and community gatherings.
  2. Communication: To provide staff, promote activities, develop and maintain a website, and to undertake other activities in order to foster community growth and marketing outreach.
  3. Support: To provide loans, scholarships, and other support to members and Helpers.

Many Blessings throughout the year! — The Philadelphia Region Pathwork Board
